Outside Story Time

Join us for our popular Story Time for infants and toddlers outside on our front lawn. Story Time is designed to enhance early literacy skills and features diverse children’s books in which all children can see themselves represented… plus we have a lot of fun! Please bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Story Time will be held outdoors throughout the year,  but will be cancelled on days when the temperature is extreme, or if it is raining. You may call the Library when we open at 10 am to inquire.

Time-Warp Tuesdays

Time-Warp Tuesdays are for digitizing photos at the Library! Appointments are required. Each time slot is 45-minutes. Bring in your family photos and our librarians will assist you with scanning them to a USB drive using our new high-speed scanner. To learn all of the details and to register, please click here.

Fiber Fridays

Gnomes and Ungnomes with Karen Gardner

What do mermaids, dragons, centaurs, and golems have in common? They’re all featured in Gnomes and Ungnomes, a poetry anthology celebrating mythical, magical creatures! Join poet Karen Gardner to read some poems, search for the hidden gnomes in the book, and draw your favorite mythological creatures.



STEM Story Time by Pelham High School Student

The Cocktail Parlor: How Women Brought the Cocktail Home with Pelham author Dr. Nicola Nice

Throughout American history, women have helped propel what we know as classic cocktails–the Martini, the Manhattan, the Old-Fashioned, and more–into popular culture. Meet the hostesses who have shaped cocktail history, and learn how to make the drinks they loved in The Cocktail Parlor: How Women Brought the Cocktail Home. Join sociologist, author, and entrepreneur Dr. Nicola Nice for a book talk and signing. Books will be available for sale. Registration is suggested, but not required. Click here to register.
