Author Talk: The Blue Morphos with Maria Rosell

Join local author Maria Rosell to learn about the environment, culture, and stories of Colombia! We’ll get to see Colombian dances, take a closer look at traditional instruments and costumes, hear music, and more as Maria takes us on a journey in the Andes surrounded by family, flora, fauna, and folklore. You’ll also be able to enter a raffle for her new book, The Blue Morphos! And of course, if you’re not the lucky winner, you can always check a copy out from the Library.

Maria Rosell was born in San Gil, Colombia, and grew up dancing ballet, Flameco, and a variety of Colombian dances. Her mother, Betty, inspired her to write the stories in her new book, The Blue Morphos.
