Third Grade Book Club: Crenshaw

Led by Pelham resident and librarian Margo Hastings, this book club is for children who just completed third grade. At its July meeting, the club will discuss Crenshaw, a novel by Katherine Applegate, who won the Newbery Award for The One and Only Ivan.

In this book, young Jackson relies on his friend Crenshaw — an imaginary cat — to help his family, which has fallen on hard times.
