Third Grade Book Club: A Boy Called Bat by Elana K. Arnold, illustrated by Charles Santoso

Bixby Alexander Tam (nicknamed Bat), a young boy on the autism spectrum, is the focus of this book (and series). In this first of the series, Bat tries to convince his veterinary mom that the baby skunk she’s brought home temporarily would make a perfect pet.
