Welcome New Board Member Diane Gutch

The Town of Pelham Public Library board of Trustees is pleased to welcome Diane Gutch as their newest member.

Diane is a long-time Pelham resident. She is a health care professional, an avid library user, and an active volunteer in the Pelham community.

Diane and her husband moved to Pelham Manor in 2001 and raised four children here. She says that, “we enjoyed many Pelham Library story times, children’s programs and summer reading challenges. Our home always had a stack of library books for the kids to read or be read to!”

Diane has been taking care of people for most of her life from being a physical therapist to being a den mom for Cub Scouts. She was very active in the Siwanoy PTA and both she and her husband were active committee members in Siwanoy Cub Scouts for over 10 years. Diane has worked as a physical therapist at a variety of prestigious hospitals in the area including Montefiore Medical Center, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, and New York Presbyterian. In her down time she volunteers at both the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Destination College helping young adults apply for college. She has also hiked 31 of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks.

Her extensive background in education, youth programs, and nonprofit support will make her an invaluable asset to our Library board. Diane is excited to contribute to the Library’s mission of public access, literacy, and lifelong learning.
