July is the perfect month for making sun prints, which use the light of the sun to “print” images on to paper. This month, the Library is offering sun print programs for both children and adults — come to just one, or attend all four! The program will be held on Tuesdays through the rest of the month — July 10, 17, 24 and 31. The sessions for adults (age 16+) are from 1:30 – 3 p.m., and the sessions for kids (age 8+) will be held from 3:15 – 4:45 p.m.
Attendance is limited to the first 15 people who register for each session, so call the Library at (914) 738-1234 to secure your place!
Below are the themes for each session:
July 10: Found objects
July 17: Moiré Prints
July 24: Stencils
July 31: Transparencies
All materials will be supplied but participants are welcome to bring any found objects they would like to the sessions on July 10.
Please note that each session is weather permitting, and the program will be cancelled if raining. Call the Library if the weather looks unsure.
The sun print programs are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library!
