Eclipse Viewing Party and NASA Live Stream
Apr 083:00 pm -
4:00 pm
On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will travel through the contiguous United States. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun.
Weather permitting, we’ll be able to view at least a partial solar eclipse from the Library’s very own front yard! This phenomenon won’t be viewable again until summer of 2044.
Not the outdoorsy type? Watch NASA’s live stream in our program room (starting early at 1pm) and learn more about the eclipse.
Plus, join us for eclipse crafts: draw your own eclipse, color in animals wearing eclipse glasses, and use an Oreo to make your own edible eclipse. This program is for all ages and no registration is necessary.
Eclipse Glasses will be available for Pelham cardholders at the Library starting on Monday, April 1st while supplies last. Limit of 2 per household please.
