SUMMARY:Teen Talk Summer Series with Hope's Door
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, the Library will host a Teen Talk Summer Series f
 rom Hope's Door\, to raise awareness about teen dating violence.\n\nHope
 ’s Door is a non-profit that seeks to end domestic violence and to empow
 er victims to achieve safety\, independence\, and healing from the trauma 
 of abuse. We will dive into information about teen dating violence\, visit
  popular “toxic” celebrity relationships\, and discuss Netflix dramas 
 and documentaries depicting domestic violence. Join us for conversations a
 bout the things we see and experience\, and to learn how we can become adv
 ocates for ourselves and each other.\n\nThis program will take place over 
 the course of four sessions\, and it is recommended (but not required) tha
 t you attend all four. This is a drop-in program and registration is not r
 equired.\n\nHope’s Door prevents\, responds to\, and partners to end dom
 estic and intimate partner violence and other forms of abuse. We provide a
  24/7/365 crisis\, support and information hotline (the gateway to all our
  services) as well as emergency shelter to ensure individuals are safe fro
 m the threat of violence. Engaging in domestic violence education and trai
 ning in schools and community centers throughout Westchester County\, Hope
 ’s Door offers counseling\, advocacy and legal services for victims of d
 omestic violence and human trafficking. All of our services are provided f
 ree of charge to victims and survivors\; we rely on the generosity of priv
 ate and corporate donors as well as federal\, state and county grants.\n
