Learn the basics of coding and explore your creativity through Scratch in this four-session introductory course designed for middle school students. Across four one-hour classes, participants will build interactive projects while learning core programming concepts such as sequences, conditionals, variables, and problem-solving through creative design, culminating in a final project at the end of the program. No prior coding experience is required—beginners are encouraged to join, and activities will build progressively from session to session, so attending all four classes is recommended.  This prgram takes place in-person at the Library, and registration is required.  To register please email Tash at ngross@pelhamlibrary.org.  This program is for children in or entering 6th-8th grade.

Students should create a free Scratch account before the first class using this link: https://scratch.mit.edu/join. The class will use the browser version of Scratch. Laptops are recommended. Recommended operating systems include Windows 10 (1709+) or macOS 10.13+; tablets should run iOS 10+ or Android 8.0+ with an up-to-date supported browser.
