Kids' Craft Studio: Poppy Pins for Memorial Day

May 26
3:30 pm -
4:30 pm

The Remembrance Poppy has been a symbol of lives lost to war since World War I, when Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae wrote his famous poem that begins, “In Flanders fields, the poppies blow / Between the crosses, row on row.” Adults and kids ages 4 and up are welcome to join us to make Remembrance Poppy pins in honor of those who gave their lives in service. This event will take place outside at the Library. In case of inclement weather, please call ahead.
