The Remembrance Poppy has been a symbol of lives lost to war since World War I, when Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae wrote his famous poem that begins, “In Flanders fields, the poppies blow / Between the crosses, row on row.” Adults and kids ages 4 and up are welcome to join us to make Remembrance Poppy pins in honor of those who gave their lives in service.
