2nd-Friday Book Club: Manhattan Beach
Town of Pelham Public Library, Pelham NY

The club will discuss Manhattan Beach by Jennifer Egan. This historical novel, which takes place in and around World War II, was named one of the best books of 2017 by NPR, Esquire and Vogue, among others. It centers around Anne Kerrigan, and the mysterious gangster Dexter Styles, who she first meets as a young girl and then again – years after her father has vanished – as she is working at the Brooklyn Naval Yards repairing ship and beginning to understand Styles’ role in her father’s disappearance. Homework and Tech Help

Held during the school year when school is in session, for homework this is a drop-in program for children in grades K – 6.Make sure to bring your textbooks and other materials. Additionally, anyone can drop in and get tech help with their devices!
