There’s a new twist on the Library’s Homework Help program. Starting this month, and continuing through the school year when school is in session, teen helpers will do both homework help and tech help. The homework help is for children in grades K – 6, and the tech help is adults who need troubleshooting on their devices. This program is drop-in. Just show up when you want to!

Two Four-Week Sessions of Sew and So: (Machine) Sewing Lessons at the Library, Session 1

Apr 19
6:30 pm -
8:30 pm

The Library is holding two sessions of four-week sewing workshops for adults that will introduce progressively skilled exercises and techniques. The Library has reserved eight sewing machines from the Westchester Library System to be used during the workshops, which will not only introduce attendees to how sewing machines work, but also allow them to make three or four projects during the course of the four weeks, including an infinity scarf and a patchwork pillow. Participants can sign up for only one of the two four-week sessions, and must commit to attending all four classes of the same series. For ages 16 and up. Registration is required by calling the Library at (914) 738-1234.
