July 16: Experience the Space Race, 1957 – 1975

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, the Pelham Public Library presents this special program on The Space Race on Tuesday, July 16 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. The author, photographer and lecturer Kevin Woyce will present a lecture packed with historic photographs and vintage concept art. Relive it all — from the Soviet Union putting the first artificial satellite into orbit in 1957, to the U.S.’ pioneering Mercury and Gemini flights, and, of course, the first Apollo Moon landings! This program is open to teens and adults. Registration is not required.
