Truss Us, It’s Sturdy! Come to the Library for this spring break program, where you’ll get to build a Truss Structure — considered the strongest type of building because of the triangular shape it uses. In this hands-on STEM lesson for children ages 8 – 10, you’ll explore why certain shapes are stronger than others and how they distribute load and withstand force differently. Using what you learn, you’ll build and test the strength of your own truss bridge! This program is being presented by the Westchester Children’s Museum and funded by the Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library. Registration is required by calling at the Library at (914) 738-1234.
