Graded Reading Lists

How to use graded book lists:

The Westchester childrens' librarians have recently compiled lists of recommended books for children from preschool through ninth grade. Books are listed by genres like mystery or fairytales and include old favorites as well as brand new discoveries. We have deliberately overlapped two grades per booklist in an attempt to meet the needs of advanced readers as well as reluctant ones. The lists should be used as guides for teachers, parents, and children. They are by no means the only source for selecting good books. Children's Librarians remain the best resource for selecting books.
